Site Launch: Abby & Me

So, you know those hours that you’ve spent on the phone (or in person) with your mother, father, grandmother, or grandfather trying to explain to them what a web browser was, or how to send an attachment via email? (I know, not too much fun….) Maybe next time you can point them in the direction of Abby Stokes. Abby’s book Is This Thing On? A Computer Handbook for Late Bloomers, Technophobes, & the Kicking and Screaming is written just for them; and her website, Abby & Me, includes a wealth of information (questions and answers, tutorials, helpful blog posts, etc.).

I really enjoyed the challenge of designing for this audience—creating a simple and easy-to-use site, but one that includes a lot of information and sophisticated web terms and tools (such a blog and message board).
