Site launch: Great Egret photos by Terry Turrentine

We just finished and launched a new site for San Francisco-based photographer Terry Turrentine. Terry has created an artists’ book of 15 of her incredible photographs of Great Egrets; the ones in the book (and shown on the site) were taken in the last five years, but she’s spent 25 years taking photos of them. She describes in her bio how she’s traveled to the egret rookeries in different states and how sometimes she will get no usable shots on any day or season (they’re very sensitive birds). Be sure to read her artist’s bio as she has a very interesting history of how she came to photograph the egrets. Just a hint: her great grandfather was the firearms designer John M. Browning.

We’ve really enjoyed working on this site with Terry, and wish her great success with her book.
